Avicii, l’ennesima vittima del girone infernale che ha portato via giovanissimi artisti, come quelli giornalisticamente riuniti sotto il Club 27, e da cui Avicii risulta escluso per una questione di pochi mesi. Morto suicida a 28 anni, lascia in eredità alcuni brani che testimoniano un grande talento nella produzione musicale, ma non solo. “Wake me up” è il perfetto incontro tra musica dance elettronica e rilevanza testuale, perché se da un lato il ritmo sostenuto ti spinge a ballare, dall’altro le parole ti fanno riflettere, e non sono buttate a caso per fare rima, ma affrontano un tema profondo e molto sfaccettato, “Quindi svegliatemi quando sarà tutto finito, quando sarò più saggio e più vecchio; per tutto questo tempo stavo trovando me stesso e non sapevo che mi ero perso”, è una richiesta di aiuto e un lieto fine insieme, ma il messaggio finale è proprio l’importanza di riconoscere se stessi, di volersi bene, di capire quale strada percorrere, e non per gli altri, ma perché è quello che vogliamo noi.
